Job Description

**Job Summary:
**

The Tech - Night Charge performs laboratory testing of patient specimens in one or more sections of the laboratory.

**Responsibilities:
**

+ Performs diagnostic/analytic testing of specimens. Interprets, documents and reports test results.

+ Performs quality control testing, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.

+ Verifies analytic accuracy, precision, sensitivity and references ranges for test methods.

+ Serves as a resource to staff as needed.

**Qualifications**

**Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
**

+ **Preferred Credential(s):
**

+ Certified as a Medical Laboratory Technician by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Board of Certification (BOC);or Medical Laboratory Technician by the American Medical Technologists MT(AMT);or registry eligible.

+ Obtain registry within 6 months.

**Education:
**

+ Completed Medical Technology program from an accredited school

+ Certificate

**Work Experience:
**

+ No experience required.
