Princess Rat Terrier Senior - Adoption, Rescue for sale in Mobile, Alabama

Princess is one of those dogs that break your heart to see in a shelter.

7 or 8 years old, her owner could no longer care for her and she came to the shelter with a younger, smaller chihuahua that was adopted.

Princess just wants to be a lap baby again. She can be a little grumpy, barking when other dogs approach her kennel, but once out, mostly ignores them and wants people to hold and pet her and, especially, give her treats.

She has one slightly misshapen ear that is perpetually down, and the other perpetually up, giving her an inquisitive air.

She did not have much exposure to young children in her former home and may not really enjoy being around them.

She was fine with older (middle school age) children at our recent adoption event.

Old dogs are the BEST and Princess wants a chance to show you.

Come meet her at the City of Mobile Animal Shelter.

Princess is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped and heartworm-negative.

She has been given a 6 month heartworm preventative.
